Was Hectors hut named because of Big Hec? If so, why? Just curious

Don't know how it came by it's name, but I remember playing my first football match for South Shields under 13's there against Seaham Harbour, who walloped us.

We used to play at Cleadon Rec regularly.
I don't think Hector's Hut was named after Big Hec or Hector's House, as it was known as Hector's Hut before these two phenomena had graced our lives!
The best bit about playing or watching footie games there was the fish and chips at Park Avenue chippie afterwards!
