South Pier Dolly

Post by peetsy » Fri Sep 18, 2015 6:07 pm

We've just had another great stay at the 'Little Haven' this week.

One of the tasks was to walk along the pier, first time in 50 years and wanted to show my Swiss sister-in-law the 'Dolly'!

It's gone!!!

Where?

Was it vandalised? or did I just imagine it was there all those years ago?

Very disappointed, but otherwise the seafront looks really smart and we had a smashing time

I think that over the years people just chipped away at it until nothing was left. So sad as generations of kids went to look at it. :(
