AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS OF SIMONSIDE HALL

Post by passtheball »

Can any reader please help with photographs for research of Simonside Hall football ground, the home of South Shields FC 1950 - 1974, or have any ideas where such may be found etc etc ? I know of two that were taken, one that was featured in a match programme in 1958, of which I have but a poor photocopy, and look for an actual photographic print, and another that was taken by aerial photographer Fietler in 1972, which is now defunct. I have only a Shields 'Gazette' cutting photocopy, and the Gazette photograph archives cannot assist unfortunately. Any help or with possible sources suggestions would be much appreciated.

Lovely old photographs here Mr Smith, including two of Horsley Hill stadium, South Shields AFC ground 1904 - 1950, albeit in greyhound racing days 1932, any more please where these came from ?
