Hello All
This is my first post here. I have joined the forum after finding a (very, very) long lost relative who was born in S Shields in 1929.
The relative in question is called Ronald Thompson. Ronald is the brother of my mother Margaret Thompson (born 1921) and son of Aaron Thompson and Florence Thompson. Ronald emigrated to S Africa round about 1950 and lived there for many years but has now returned to live in the UK.
Ronald tells me he went to Ocean Road school in the mid 1930's (I think) and his mother used to have a florist shop in S Shields. He was born in Cleveland Street and Margaret Thompson was born at 81 Mile End Road, South Shields.
If there is anyone out there who has any relevant information or photographs relating to any of the above places/years it would be most gratefully received.
Thanks in advance
Anyone here have info from 1920's/30's/40's please?
