I can remember....especially as there was a piece in the Gazette recently about the guy who used to draw the cartoons.
I am also old enough to remember 'Dodge'who did cartoons of footballers in the Green Final.

brassy a a marine school cadet if i remember right, his hat was always very big, that would have been in the 1950 s

He was called Brassie, a navy cadet, by Doug Smith. I used to read it from the latter part of the 1940s.
