O.K Here is a question. Can anyone name all the pubs that were in the South Shields market place since the war? Not King Street, just the market. My father used to say you could have a half in every pub and be very drunk by the end of the night. (Mind you, he could get drunk on two pints

)

Yes Lisa, the Smugglers is still open. The original name was "The Lambton". Can't remember when it changed names?

Jim, if thats the reason they changed its name they will have to change half the pubs in Shields to smugglers as well
