This would have been better posted on the Lost Friends and Relatives board, still, not a problem.

Was she born Isabella Richardson in South Shields, or was that her married name, and did she have a middle name? There were two Isabella Richardson born around that time, one in 1878 and the other in 1879. There were one or two others but they had a middle name.
If Richardson was her married name, there were 19 boys born in South Shields
in 1914, with the surname Richardson.

Hi
sorry posted on the wrong board
Isabella Richardson is her maiden name, her son was born 25.11.1914 and registered as James Dickinson no father listed he was born at 3 Harold Street. James was brought up by the Dickinsons Margaret and William.
James Stayed with a Family of Richardson's on Front street Whitburn when he was 13 years old not sure if they were Isabella's parents he started at Whitburn pit as apprentice blacksmith. James was called Dicka or Jimmy Dicka whilst working at the pit.
I would love to find anyone who knows James or knew of him. If we could locate any of the Isabella's family and the Dickinson family that would be great .
thank you

My mothers second husband was a Whitburn Dickinson, he was one of about
eight children in his family. I can't remember all of their names but there was
Robert, George, William, Stanley, Mary, Renee and at least two other male
members. They are all sadly deceased, last member of the family to pass on
was Renee who had moved to Blyth when she married. The off springs of the
various members of the family are living in South Shields but I lost touch with
them quite some time ago. Most of the male members of the family worked
at Whitburn colliery at some time or other. I lived in Whitburn for a few years
and I don't know of any other Dickinson family and it was only a small place
when I lived there.

I worked at Whitburn pit from 1961 till its closure in 1968 and there was no blacksmith called Dicka or Richardson employed there during that time.

Can remember Billy Moore from joiners shop at Whitburn Pit. I think Joe Hughes was older brother of Bobbie Hughes fitting shop welder and Billie Hughes a blacksmith. Thought Joe drove an economic bus at one time.

Have racked my brains and asked numerous friends if they could remember Stan Bowsfield. Can place him now, two lads started as fitters at the same time then, can remember the name well but still strugelling to put a face to it. Can remember one of the lads had blonde or fair hair but thats all.
