Bushell Blumer shipyard

Post by shieldsgypsy »

Doing a bit of family history research and I believe that one of my ancestors had a shipyard in south shields or jarrow called 'Bushell Blumer' shipyard in the second half of the 19th Century. I found one called Luke Bushell shipyard but wasnt sure if that was the one or if there was another. I have had a look at some maps but the scale is not close enough and alot of them are just labelled as 'shipyard' as there were so many at that time. Would like to know where it was located and names of any ships built there if any? Great to get some help on this one.
