Buying bruised fruit.
Broken biscuits.
Puroh milk with the skin still in it.
Segodan guns (used to fire steel balls).
Playing marbles especially if you had a steely the size of a cricket ball. (Used to obliterate glass marbles if you did an eye drop). :lol: :lol:
Split the kipper.

After a dance class at Rose Mannings (Tyne Dock). We would roll back the fireside mat, pull back the settee and do a turn. The ChaCha to the sound of "Wheels" with my sister brings back happy memories. :D

A turn on the mat was very popular anyway. Playing spoons/bones. Song. Recitation. Gymnastics. Whatever the talent, us kids were encouraged to entertain the grown ups. I think it was cos they had no telly before and there's been bug*er all on since!

My dad did a great impersonation of Bette Davis which had us kids in stitches too :lol:

Sorry to see that stack at Trow Rocks is gone.

I always remember the sense of achievment when I climbed it for the first time.

I remember fondly "Evans Lemonade"
