Any1 remember bakery Bertram/Fredrick St, W.Lockwoods?

Post by SunnyS/S »

Hi

My Dad and his Dad, had a bakery around Bertram/Fredrick St, not sure what it was called, W.Lockwoods maybe? I'm just wanting some info, pictures etc to see if I can put something together for a present.

Any one help with this please, or know how I can get any info/pics please.

cheers

There was one on the corner of John Williamson Street and Bertram Street originally called Marr then the name was changed to Pertels. The name Lockwoods rings a bell but I can't place it.

If my memory serves me right, Lockwoods was on So. Frederick St., beside the bus stop, and next door to Mr. Lund's the barber, who was on the corner of Bertram Street. On the opposite side of So. Fred. St. was Pattisons dairy.
