March 11th 1961

Post by micky1stop »

Hi All, just came across this site while browsing around, as you do, and an interesting site it looks too.

It's my Parents Golden Wedding Anniversary on March 11th. They were Married in 1961 and was wondering if anyone has any information (local) that was happening on that date, or would even know or remember my Parents, Joan (nee Bland), and Richard Alan Kincaid (always known as Alan as far as I can remember)?
I do know that my Mam worked at John Colliers and my Dad worked on the railway, at Tynedock, I think, along with his Dad, George Alan Kincaid.

Any help, pics, info, would be very much appreciated.

Thank You
Micky

Mickey only Blands I can remember was Geordie Bland who lived in Quarry Lane between MaCkies and the Kerkoffs, used to swap books with Geordie in mid 60s,he would have been in his forties then.

I knew a Gordon Kincaid in in the early 60s. I believe he was
a shipping surveyor. My sister worked at John Colliers around
that time, I'll get in touch with her and ask.

fools talk because they have to say something.
