The lake is in the South Marine Park, and they're paddle boats these days. unfortunately, I don't know the cost

good evening Global,was over your way yesterday spent a couple of hours on the beach at Devonport,then a fish and chips lunch.

Rusty when I was a lad (blush)

They used clapped out two seater motor boats that chugged round the lake at 0.5 mph. You went round once per 2/-6 thats 12.5 p

in modern money. Believe me that was a lot of money.

Amazing to think that we hoped as we queued that we'd get a really slow one . That would mean our treat lasted longer.

i remember those motorboats well, these used to make a racket and leave an oil slick on the lake
