You have to change the clock yourself, click on your profile and change the time from GMT+1 to GMT, simple when you know how.robpape wrote::.hey Jimmy Wizz -change your clock for the autumn !!!
I had a walk past the Pier Head amusements yesterday and went in to see the Laughing Sailor..put my 20p in and he just shook about, not a single laugh from him, seems he's had enough of that or his voicebox is broken?
Anyway looking at that puppets face now it reminds me of how a dirty paed-o-phile with the sly shifty eyes looks..wish I'd took another photo of it's face..gave me the creeps, certainly nowt 'jolly' about it

Hi Sandy,Sandy wrote:Anyone remember the Laughing Sailor outside the Amusements near the Pier Head?
I think it was 1p for a couple of minutes. I was little so never got tired of it.
I only remembered the Laughing Sailor as soon as you mentioned the Amusements, then the light came on

I miss her.
So when you said Sandy is no longer with us...I thought you meant she had passed on...OOOPS!
I have just realised that if she is elderly ???? and I feel I`m digging my own grave here..
I hope Sandy is fine and having such a good time, too exhausted to post messages

Re: The Laughing Sailor
Anyone remember those machines that did a sort of 'performance' when you put a penny in? I remember The Drunkard's Dream, which was an old-fashioned bedroom, with someone peeping out of the badclothes. When it went into action, all sorts of spooks and monsters would come out from behind doors and panels, as if this bloke was having a DT's-type nightmare. There was also the Haunted Graveyard, where vaults would open up and spooks would appear from behind tombstones.
They only lasted about 30 seconds, but they were fun.
