Death of old friend from Marsden
Have just read in the gazette tonight of the death of an old friend who was known to most of us from Marsden. He is Vic Evans the twin brother of Richard who died several years ago, he was only 61 but it said in the obituary that he was living in a nursing home in Sunderland. I could never tell the twins apart, used to always greet them with "hello Richie or Vic".Their older brother Harry is still alive, can remember their father Harry who was a very fit man and a great swimmer but he also died at a very young age when they lived in the flats above the shops in Lizard Lane.

I used to go to those shops quite often when I stopped at
my nannas on Prince Edward. Used to play on the White
Horse Hills and in the quarry on my BMX.
I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your friend Pete.

I didn't know either of the twins myself, different age group.
My brother remembers them, but didn't know them very well.

There was an older brother Harry, he would be about your Jackies age. The father also named Harry died young,he used to do a lot of competitive swimming and he had large arms and a barrel chest ,he was also not much taller than yourself.baldy.smith wrote:I didn't know either of the twins myself, different age group.
