A very nice video showing scenes of todays ferry and from a few years ago.

It's interesting to see just how busy the old ferry was with foot paasengers and cars.

And in the background, 4 tugs lined up. There also seems to be a large tanker in Brigham & Cowans.

Looking at the river these days, it's sometimes difficult to imagine just how busy it used to be.

I was interested to see the Bergen Line ship Venus (the old one woth the two funnels) in the background of this video. I seem to remember her running aground in fog near the Groyne, but was not around to see it. If anyone has any photos of this Venus, and particularly of her when aground, I would love to see them.
