I lived in Edith Street in the 40s and I also had three aunties living there. which number are you talking about. :)

Don't know about any of this, but St. Aidan's Church was supposedly haunted. If you believe in such things.

I lived in St Vinney and I can honestly say the Big Lad down the road looked like he could frighten the life out of anyone.

I was born a brought up in Bewick Street. I wuz lucky to have an electric train set when I was a kid.
One night as I'm lying in bed me train ran up and down the track. I could hear Mum and Dad talking in the other room.
The electrics were off so no power. I just froze and stuck me head under the bed clothes as all kids do when they are scared.
The next thing I hear the train carriages being knocked over. That's when I think I passed out.
really scary. I woke up in the morning and sure enough the carriages were on their sides.
Gives a whole new meaning to a "Ghost Train."
Never heard or saw anything else unusual after that.
Life is not a rehearsal.

You only have one shot at it.

Bloody hell good to hear Podgy Pete again, when i first joined it was a good laugh with Memor, Pete, the bus driver and others winding each other up, the good old days without the you know what. We might even get Sless to rejoin the fray
