Does anybody remember the gay blonde lad (not me) who worked in the stores. He was Diana Dors mad. He bought a load of paperwork and diaries when Diana's possesions came to auction. They did a TV programme about her missing millions and this lad had the codes that may help to find them. He died very tragically a while ago.

I worked at Vidor as storeperson in the late 60s early 70s in the engineer stores.

That's the one. Me and Raymond got on well as we were both Diana Dors fans obviously him more than me. He was a real friendly lad and a great laugh. We went to the cinema a couple of times together. I am not gay but that did not stop us being friends. I never met him again after Burndept as I moved to London. I read about his circumstances in the paper and felt very sad about what happened.

Still looking for a title Delilah. It's about the different places I amd many others worked in Shields. A sort of potted history covering from shipyards to nightclubs. It is just about complete so any sugestions about the title will be gratefull accepted. Snide remarks will be ignored.
