Yet endless pretexts, ever fresh prefers,
Perverts her senses, revels when she errs,
Sneers when she weeps, regrets, repents, she fell,
Then deep revenged, reseeks the nether Hell.

I found this among me da's stuff - it was in the weekly paper of HMS Duke of York which he served on in WW2
