Going to a gig near Sheffield. '' Then ''

Going to Isle of man for good music beer and a damn good time.

Weather forecast is good but hope it rains and blow a gale in South Shields this weekend :D

Isle of man.

Expensive but good.

Took a spin on a Kawasaki motor bike for part of the TT circuit.

It costed £30.00 '' I thought that was cheap '' for the day to hire. Well worth it just for the thrill of the occasion.

Was good fun so it was.

We enjoyed good beer, good food and good music.

How many of you miserable lot done nothing over the holiday weekend.

Hope it rained and blew a gale in South Shields so I do

Off to Blackpool for today/night.

Going to meet up with some ex Military buddies and their wives.

Don't care about the weather as we will be inside mostly.

Love getting to Blackpool, great night life there so it is.

Had a bit of a long weekend with it being Caloundra show day on Friday.

The remaining lab Sally is being spoiled rotten and usually within a metre of me. She's allowed inside now and is lapping it up.

Won $1000 on the trots yesterday so want down to the bank an paid it of one of the investment properties via the atm. Good how you can deposit coins nowadays as well.

My step son Ben is up for the weekend from Brisbane. He graduated about 10 years ago as a town planner but has never worked in that field. He has just packed his job managing a Sushi café and is now doing a course which should get him a job as a customs officer. Can write and speak fluent English and Mandarin so he should do well.

Had Hot Pot last night as he brought up all the stuff which should get us through the Winter. Had a fire and a few beers to see off the day

Mary has spent the last few days skating either at the rink or around the garage.

Ling has been over to the park three of four times with Sally. Looks like a new found friendship there.

Off to Shelley Beach now for a bit of a walk and then down the pub about 4pm to reinvest some of my winnings.

Worked Friday into Saturday .... went & had a few beers Saturday arvo with old footy mates.

Sunday was on a standby from 3 am to 9 am .... then had a lazy day.

Andy ... Customs would be a good job ... bloke I have a beer with down at local hockey club
is ex- army & retired from Customs after a lot of years. Spent most of his Customs time in Broome then Darwin.

Had big super & also gets a vet pension.
Nappies & Politicians should be changed often. Both for the same reason.
I don't have an attitude I have a personality you can't handle.

We have frequent programmes on TV here about your Customs Officers, all very interesting. I have my own memories of them too when ships I worked on visited the Australian Coast in the 1960's. They were more innocent times when all the crews were trying to hide from the 'rummage-squads' was a few bottles of spirits for their parties around the coast - and a few packets of cigarettes. I never heard of hard d*ugs in those days.

Its amazing how far he can travel on his push bike, no more of the down to shop routine but the vast open spaces of the highway.
