I'm going on a Cruise

Post by Rosie » Mon Jan 29, 2018 9:13 am

All booked and paid for including insurance. Brisbane to Port Douglas and back again - 7 days from 17th March.

I've even bought me a pair of swimmers so I can try out the waterslide.

It would seem to be a very interesting part of the coast. I look forward to seeing your photos when you get back.

Hmm, I'll have to remember how to use photobucket but I'll do my best. I've wanted to go to Cairns for a long time and sailing round the islands of the barrier reef should be quite an experience. One thing that has always stuck in my memory is sailing past the Isle of Capri, I was spellbound.

Some beautiful sections with the sailing, you'll enjoy it I'm sure.
Photobucket is no good any more, Rosie, they charge membership fees of about $300 a year if you want to be able to post photos on other sites such as this one. Try imgur, it is free & faster than photobucket was.

Never been on a cruise.

Left Gib on troop ship and it berthed at Middlesbrough .

Also, left Bremerhaven on troop ship berthed at said place above also.

Do they count as a cruise.

All I saw was Catterick Garrison. #-o

You might need a chuck bucket instead of photo bucket, cyclone season april but hey thats only a guide, we haven't had one yet and well see what happens, bon voyage.
I'm tough and it won't take long to get my sea legs back even if it has been over 50 years.

Do the poms go on cruises? I know it's as cheap as chips to go to Europe so that's what most of my family over there do.

You're not the only one going on a cruise, Rosie. :D
Have a look at this. I think the galah must have gone on the cruise after Andy's, but on the same ship.

Qld galah escaped from its home, was found on the cruise ship, given an empty cabin & because it had a microchip, reunited with its owners when the ship returned. The bird had a 2 week cruise round NZ. :D
The owners are about to do their own cruise-to far Nth Qld, but won't be away as long as the galah was. :D

PS Your sound must be off too, Max.

And soap.
I suspect that if and when you met any Poms Max, your nose was too near to your own arse and you were too inebriated to realise it. You have a very nasty side to you and you should try to keep it under control. There are enough insults on this site without you further putting the boot in.

I'd love to visit England, have heard so many good reports about it & lots of people who return again after a first visit because they enjoyed it so much.
It can't be all bad in England-it's a max free zone for a start.

It's very, very rare for any of the English boardies here to ever make a personal comment, & the fact that Ralph has speaks volumes. It means he has had enough. Maybe tone it down a bit, Max.

Crossed the Channel yesterday back to the UK.

A mini cruise so it was. All of 22 Miles.

No drinking as we was home ward bound in convoy.

They can stuff Austria as it was damn cold and a tadge wintry there.

Mountain tops covered in snow, grotty stuff so it is.

Have a good trip Rosie. Some people just love cruises, like Sherri. I have always viewed them as being in prison with a good chance of drowning.

Wish you the best.
