Why wait? PO collect all the baggage and then let passengers get off in groups, I guess other companies do the same, anyhow just join the next available group and get off with them, saves hanging around waiting for your turn, did that on my last cruise.

Welcome home, Andy. I see from the webcam your ship is back in Brisbane & it's a lovely sunny day.
Look forward to hearing about some of your adventures.
Stalking andy again?
Next time you chase after him I suggest you cease using the R N (royal navy), just google PO cam's not PO RN.

"Saw the ports, not Andy". oh yes of course.
It must have been a frightfully delightful journey to that mystic island, do any nose rubbing.

I had nearly talked me into going on a cruise until I read the first few posts and now I'm not too sure. Also was taking to a friend this morning who was on the same ship as Andy when they had that virus on board and she has only just gotten over it. Hmmm, not too sure now if I want to go or not.

She'll be right, Rosie.
It's not that often they have an outbreak so you're not likely to be affected.
Take some wipes with you if worried, and wipe down the phone, door handles etc in your cabin.
After that, there is hand cleaner throughout the ship.

If you're not too sure how you'll take to sailing, just go on one of the shorter cruises, maybe 7-10 days.

They are quite good value for money & a bit of fun.

Andy maybe I'm just a dreamer :(

Sherri, I'm thinking of going P & O from Brisbane to Port Douglas on a 7 day trip. I really want to go to Cairns and do the sky rail thing.

That sounds like a lovely trip, Rosie. I think it sounds like the one danet & I went on a few years back. The sky rail trip over the rainforest was lovely, well worth it. Took us up to Kuranda market if I recall.
You're a Queenslander so maybe you'll be able to cope better, but we went over Sept/early Oct & by the time we got to Port Douglas, we did a walk but it was so hot all I could think of by about 12.30pm was getting back to the ship. Maybe mid year would be more bearable.

think of reasons to go

not to not go

then you'll probably go

it's all just a matter of choice

when you can't go anymore

you'll be glad you went when you could

choice

It would be fun lola trying to work out if your seasick or coming down with an infectious sickness, then getting locked in your cabin for the rest of the trip and that "sky rail thing" I hear pensioners can pay off the ticket, was up that ways a few weeks back $150 at ride.

$150? That's bloody ridiculous Max. That's for a double though right? $75 each.

I've been on it some 22 yrs ago.

Not far from cebu about 2 hours, about the same distance to bohol by ferry, both very safe places to live, but what I have found if you are good to the locals and don't carry on like drunk know-all yank you'll be ok I wouldn't go to davo or zambawonga, furtherest south I've been is butuan, at that time the new peoples army liked tourists. My balikbyan visa is good for 1 year so I am thinking of entering and leaving the philippines under that visa after 12 months and travel though out visa by getting my flights booked local instead of paying top $ for fares in aust.

I can't remember what it cost us, but the excursion on the sky rail can be booked via the ship company before you go. We booked skyrail going up then the old railway coming back. I know people say you pay a bit extra that way but it is very convenient, you just gather at a meeting place on the ship, go straight into buses and onto the skyrail, no queuing, stress free.
See when your friend would like to go, Rosie, & maybe book one for this year. I don't think you'll regret it.

The hotter times are a bit cheaper price wise, while my preferred time (about June) is top dollar :? , but there are some reasonably priced ones about Aug with on board credit, that wouldn't be a bad time.

Even at $110 it's a rip off ..... do they really want tourists or just loaded foreign tourists?
