If ignorance is your defence then I suggest you don't go to court, try a temporary insanity plea and colour blindness.
It was years back max, I never said ignorance was my defence, just that a .3 second isn't a lot.

You were right the first time when you said...

Visited Blackpool over weekend.

A gathering at a motor bike rally.

Got to ride one of the bikes.

BSA 650 Road Rocket.

I owned one myself in my crazy care free days.

At least I never got a speeding ticket.

Mind, the acceleration did take me by surprise as I forgot how fast they are.

After a few min's it all came back.

Done 25miles of sheer joy.

Fantastic looking old Harleys there along with the more modern bikes.

For once England bathed in good weather during the rally.

On a bsa you'd get charged with vagrancy not speeding.

And what would you be charged with when you're driving your "Scooter" to the Pub at night with a top speed of 7km/hr..........if the wind is at your back that is?

We are now six months on from my misdemeanour,(12 th April 2017 at 12.48pm) but Civic Compliance Victoria will not let go.

I paid my fine within the time limit by Card, and received a response confirming receipt of payment and satisfactory processing. I then sent a letter (dated 20th July) to confirm the payment and to say I hoped to visit their lovely country again soon.

Back came a reply on 29th August - they could not "satisfy privacy requirements between your correspondence and the information we have on file". Presumably because I sign my letters with my middle name and not my first name.
So a relpy back to CC Vic dated 12th September confirming my name as shown on my British Driving Licence, and again confirming that I had paid the fine and was not appealing against it.

End of story? No!

This morning another letter from CC Vic, Officer in Charge Traffic Camera Office. Dated 30th September and coming via Vietnam Post International Mail Hochiminh City, Vietnam. This letter tells me that my correspondence has been received and is being reviewed AND the Enforcement of my Infringment Notice has been suspended pending the outcome of the review.

What next, I ask myself?

Suggestions please on the back of a $20 dollar note

Maybe they are considering withdrawing the infringement notice? They must think you had appealed.
Probably you should have, as I have been told that if your first fine is for speeding just over the limit, they will almost always scrap it on appeal as a good will gesture.

I can't see what their worry was. What does it matter who paid the fine, as long as it was paid?
