Don't get too carried away now

I don't let the guard down too often

For that very reason :P

We all get sad once in a while

Even Scrappy Von Schquarehead :P
Nappies & Politicians should be changed often. Both for the same reason.
I don't have an attitude I have a personality you can't handle.

i sat by my wifes bed twenty seven years ago when she drew her last breath, she had fought a nasty illness for a few years. so it is time to give the lass our support and not hijack her thread, we might be in the same situation ourselves. good luck scrappy, thats all i have to say.
zip me up in my oilskins and jumper.
no more down the docks i'll be seen.
just tell me old shipmates.
i'm taking a trip mates.
and i'll see them on fiddler' green.

I am a bit worried because I am not sure she has been back. It was almost like she was saying goodbye. I hope she will pop in again.

Scrappy -

I got some bad news about 5 or so years ago that resulted in me going through an open heart triple by-pass surgery. I'll be honest with you.....it scared the living crap out of me. The surgery was scheduled for 6:30 AM, and at 5:30 AM a priest came into my room and asked if he could "pray" with me. He looked like he wanted to read me my last rights. I somewhat politely told him no, I wasn't catholic. Well, that was a mistake because he then told me he could do multi-denominations. I then told him to get out.....he was creeping me out. After he started a lecture on the "Forgiveness of Sins" I yelled at him to GTFO. He left in a huff.

At 6:30 they wheeled me in, put me under and then cut me up. It took about 10 days to get me to recover, and then I escaped form the Hospital. Several months of recovery and I was back at it again. Still am.

There is a lot of great technology out there today and a lot of very good alternatives to problems that have plagued us for centuries. Hang in, do what the doctors tell you to do and kick the damn priests asses out. You'll do fine.

One other thing...............find a relative you trust to smuggle in some good food and drink................it helped me recover sooner. :D

Doesn't sound too good does it Sherri. I don't think she has been back since she posted to read any of the comments, and it does sound like a goodbye.
Hope all goes well and things are not as grim as it may sound, don't want to wish any ill health to anyone.

DaddyO, funny you, getting a trusted relly to smuggle in some food  :) Glad to see you are okay since your op.

I offer these simple words of comfort and reflection - a poem by the late Bill Denning

Light a gentle candle

Today
and every day
I need to find a time
to wait in quiet peace

Then from my heart
I take a living flame
and light a gentle candle with my love
and place its healing light
within the souls of those
whose souls touch mine

Today and every day
I hold their darkness and their light
their sorrow and their joy
their peace and their despair

Today
across dividing space

I hold their truth and love
and know that they hold me.

Sentiments I hope shared by all board members for Scrappy
There's nothing wrong with being mediocre........as long as you're good at it!
