Thank you to everyone, I hope I haven't left any names out.

I have a dilemma in that some people have sent in more than the suggested amount. I am not willing to show all that on an open board or even a closed one, I see it as people's private business.
However, that leaves me in the situation that none of you know exactly how much has come in, which is unsatisfactory, so what I would propose is this.

Once it is all settled and people have had the chance to make their donation, what I will do is take screenshots of my paypal account and bank statement.

I will share them with 2 people, probably danet here in Australia (because I can show her in person, not by screenshot) and the screenshots to someone in England. Just so you can all know it is legit.
Once the donations have been made, will put up photos or screenshots of the receipts.

Who should be the English rep?

Ralph, if he's willing.

Okay Ralph, would that be okay with you?
It will probably be a couple of days before I do it though, to give everyone time.

Sherri, I trust you absolutely and I would be very happy to accept your word as to how you had dealt with the donations. If you feel that is what you want to do, I would be happy to be one of the UK members.

You'll be the only UK one, Ralph. :D
I will send the screenshots privately once I have taken them, so you can verify the amounts donated etc. Only thing is, I would prefer you only reveal the totals are correct, not the amount of individual donations, if that is okay.

No problemo Sherri, you know I trust you to the n'th degree :)
The flowers are sorted out, and will go to the funeral okay, hopefully, you have updated all the names to be put on the card by now since you first ordered?
As for the excess of the Global Fund, we can all agree to split it up to put into 2 charities which will be lovely. This we can take our time to sort properly in due course.

Also, just wanted to give everyone credit for their kindness and respect for getting together at this time, whether many post much or not, we are still a forum community that have grown to know each other from across the globe.

Hi Danet,
I already wrote out the card as from all your friends at sanddancers and it may have to stay at that as I don't know if there is the capacity to update it online and in the end, maybe a general card is just as good, it doesn't leave anyone out.
Will be in touch via email.

Sherri, discretion assured. Global would have been deeply touched by the way the members have responded to his loss.

Sherri, I have just found your PM regarding the Charity That Sless's wife supported, but I see that Mr Smith has already done this for you.

I can't remember what she died from, but maybe that is something the Australian/NewZealand "Global" fund can go towards, as I do remember he was very upset about her passing away.

Just some suggestions I hope may help there, which I feel are meaningful.
I will fall in line with whatever des ion is made regarding donations, but until we have an honest board free from draconian censorship I myself will not donate to it again.

I'm on holidays and won't get home until early next month but I will then send my little contribution to Sherri. I'm thinking Global is looking down with a tear in his eye and wishing he could hit that reply button.

No worries, Rosie. I will add that to the deemed amount once I get to work out the charity donations.

I am sure Global would be touched. Such an amazing response. You are right, he would be hitting the reply button if he could.

Oh so the funeral is tomorrow..Now we will be thinking about that all day..
I know what GM would really have loved and that is for us all to meet up..
But now he is not here it wouldn't seem right..
GM had Peripheral arterial disease, that led to other things.
His Step Daughter had sleep apnea, I remember we sent things to her, was it post cards Danet
a few of us did..
It is all very sad, I sure wish I looked in earlier..
