I've been wondering about Andy myself. He does tend to disappear for a week or two at a time but not usually for this long. I hope he and his family are all okay.
Not sure about global, will check with his daughter.
Update on Global (this is information from his daughter). He's been back in hospital with a chest infection at first they thought it was his congestive heart disease but it is in fact a chest infection so he's been on antibiotics and oxygen and when he's well enough they will send him home. He isn't doing too well though, not easy to get infections at his age as well as his heart condition which aids in the process of making it that much harder to breath since his specific congestive heart disease floods his lungs with fluid, then on top he gets a chest infection, double the fluid and presto unable to breathe.
I won't be seeing him again until Thursday, we are currently having a terrible storm with warnings being handed out for all the North Island which is where we are living, tree's are down, roofs blown off etc, massive rain and super high winds it's horrific.
I have a good idea of what the poor old soul is going through. I was at hospital today for a check up on my congestive heart
failure, I'm no where near as bad as Global though. They told me that they had done all they can for me and that I'm on optimum medication and I've been referred back to my GP. They will only see me again if/when things get worse. There is no cure so one has to try to adapt, the main thing being not to over exert myself. Hope things improve for Global, it must be terribly hard for him especially living alone, at least I have my wife to support me.
Wise man talk because they have something to say,
fools talk because they have to say something.
Poor man. he does go through it with health problems, lets hope he manages to overcome this one. Mr Smith, I'm sorry to hear that you also have this problem and I hope that you manage to keep on top of it.
Mr Smith wrote:Anyone heard anything from Andy? it's almost four months since he last posted.
Lets be honest here, theres a good chance he has had a heart attack,I mean anyone who abuses their body the way Andy does and at his age is going to eventually pay the price. Just saying like. RIP fatty,we’ll miss you.
Good grief, I am shocked he has not been on here in months then.
It is as I suspected, he might say he couldn't stand some posters and posts but now everything is peaceful and perhaps a bit bland at times, he somehow isn't as interested.
The news about global is not all that good at the moment, hopefully he will improve soon.

Just a quick up date, dad's still in hospital, he's not doing too good, he's now refusing to take anti nauseous medicine I'll know more tomorrow when the doctors do their rounds as I've requested a phone call from the doctor to inform me of dad's prognosis at the moment dad can't hold a conversation, he struggles to talk, is frustrated that he can't get the words out and just goes silent. Really heart breaking to see him this way I honestly don't know what is going on just yet.

Hope he gets through this. News on another absentee. On of my friends was talking to Curly. He is still managing to take a few photos but still looking after his wife.
I had been wondering how Curly was doing, thanks for the update.
It doesn't sound good with global, but what I have found is, when there is a serious infection the medication itself can cause some temporary problems. I hope that is what it is with Global and that his health will improve.
That's right Sherri. My mam was on pretty heavy medication for a chest infection and she was ranting and raving . We thought she was on her way out or developing dementia but within a couple of days she was fine. Hope it's the same for Bruce.
I have had another message from Michelle and I am sorry to say things are not looking good at all.
I had a phone call from Dad's doctor. Prognosis isn't so good, I can't really sugar coat it so I'll just tell you what the doctor told me. Dad's heart is failing, his kidneys are failing and he has lung problems. If the medicine he's currently on continues to fail they will put him on what is called palliative care which means they will stop the medicine that they are trying and then give him morphine or other pain medication to keep him in a comfortable state rather than have him in stressed painful state. The doctor couldn't give me any kind of time frame but did stress that it is not good. His heart is only working at 10 % which is bug*er all and his kidneys are failing so yeah sorry to be the one to break this news but in all honest I don't think he will see much of this month if he can make it that far. I doubt at this stage that he will be able to return home unless by some miracle something happens and he suddenly gets better but realistically that won't happen the doctor was pretty sure that he's on his last days/weeks (
It seems fitting that one of the last threads he started here earlier on this month was about his daughter and I have let her know how proud he was of her.
I hope his health can improve but it isn't sounding hopeful at this stage, is it.
