my daughter jasmine
she was driving home from the boldon cinema along newcastle road, she was in the outside lane near the henderson road junction slowing down for the traffic lights when the car in the nearside lane decided to turn right into the henderson road turn off and hit her and pushed her off the road. thank god nobody was seriously hurt she and her friend were taken to hospital and treated for bruising and whiplash, luckily she was only travelling at thirty miles per hour, i shall sleep easily in my bed tonight.

Re: my daughter jasmine
Glad to know she is okay.
It's one of my nightmares, that someone I know will be involved in a bad accident. It can be so dangerous on the roads.

I assume you mean the lights adjacent to Tesco. If so, it's incredible that someone would perform such a stupid manoeuvre and I'm pleased she was ok. As a local to that area, I know there has been many accidents around there over the years especially at the entrance to the Bede Trading Estate.

Re: my daughter jasmine
Must agree sam their nothing but a worry.
I took a call today from my daughter, which had me chewed to death, she is at the lakes hiking this week with her boyfriend.
The call was breaking up terrible and this is what I could make from it before she cut off “ dad-----stuck up ---mountain----bust knee---can you ring--------phone went dead, she rang me 3 more time but It kept cutting out before she could speak with the reception being so bad[arrrhhh,so freaking frustrating !!!]],eventually an hour later I took a call from an unrecognised number,it was my daughter she called using the phone of mountain rescue,”don’t worry dad wear being rescued and they’re going to fly us to the hospital,Scott her boyfriend had went over and bust his knee up real bad . Plonker ! Huge sigh of relief !!!

Re: my daughter jasmine
OMG
I would have been worried out of my mind with a call like that. Did you ring the rescue services yourself? Were they (your daughter and her BF) carrying those GPS beacons?
We had a politician over here who went bushwalking and hurt himself, had to be rescued and the media was going off at him something terrible because he had not been carrying one and they had to search to locate him.
I am just glad they got to your daughter's BF in good time.
How is your daughter now, Sam? Whiplash can take a while to ease.

Re: my daughter jasmine
Glad to hear it wasnt serious Mr Smith....i think i would struggle getting back into a driving seat if i was ever involved in an accident.
Re: my daughter jasmine
thank you all for the the concern about my jasmine, the man who caused the accident has admitted responsibility so all claims are on his insurance for injuries to my daughter. the car is a right off and she is claiming for whiplash and loss of earnings. so now we have to go looking for a replacement vehicle. alls well that ends well, but she has to have physio now for her neck and back.
