no more down the docks i'll be seen.
just tell me old shipmates.
i'm taking a trip mates.
and i'll see them on fiddler' green.

I noticed the new ads for Home and Away. Even that is set in England now!

JJ's right, when we think of relaxing in the tropics for a bit of a break, England is the first place that comes to mind. :D

Oddly enough we met some Australian folk the other day, they live in America.

Now, don't get me wrong as i'm only the messenger here but,
they said it was the best move ever.

They started up a real estate business in Florida '' Clearwater ''

They claim it is much easier to get things on a faster track than it is in Australia.
They both enjoy golf and find Florida ideal for their sport.

They claim that they would return to Australia but would have a few reservations .

I was always under the impression Australia was more relaxed about all aspects of bureaucracy.

God no. :D
We have several levels of govt here, local, state, federal, you name it. We are probably the most governed place on the planet with more politicians per acre than anywhere else.
And each level of govt likes to make rules and regulations. Of course.

If it's Queensland they were trying to get moving in with real estate, the delays could stretch out for years. very relaxed timeline there with things. Ask danet. :D

From the conversation we had with those kindly folk and your input sherri. I,
guess I had the wrong impression. One live and learn.
