To Be quite candid its called candid photography.
What's it got to do with the months subject "Selfie"" "Self Portrait"?

After a few days (4) with no response of photos of a selfie I changed it to a different subject namely a candid street scene..

The competition runs for a month not just a few days, you can't expect everyone to drop everything to get their photos in early. So why did you change it back?

I left it as an alternative. you could submit the street scene or a selfie

That's not the way I saw it, that's why I removed my photos from the competition.

Global, you were the winner, you set the topic and it is up to you to announce the winner, no one should have to ask you!!

Everyone was waiting for you to say who won!
The next round can't start till then.
There can't be any interest till someone can start the April round.

If you just make it a draw between everyone, what you will get is a stalemate unless someone takes charge.
What you have done is make it very hard for the April competition to begin.

Noggin's face showed character so I declare Noggin the winner. Congratulation.

Don't worry about it, Global. I think it is great you have announced a clear winner, it does make the whole process easier.

The only problem that I can see is that Noggin does not come on the boards all that often. I looked up his name yesterday and as far as I can make out, he hasn't been on since March 14 and I am not sure he knows how the competition works.

But that is not your fault at all.

It is now the 10th. Maybe if noggin isn't around within a day or so you could nominate a runner up to take over the job for April, that is about all I can think of.
I suppose from time to time there will be winners who go MIA. I think it has happened before actually, and all that can be done really is to pass the job on to someone else.

Noggin hasn't been on since 11th March.

Ah, my memory! 11th is even worse.
What a shame he hasn't been around.
Probably time to nominate a runner up, global!

Because of the absence of Noggin I now declare Tedster to be the winner of the March photo contest.
