Sorry Andy, American Football is great entertainment, it HAS to be understood before you can enjoy it. Think of it as a game involving the concentration of chess, the athleticism of athletics, soccer, or rugby, the legalised violence of boxing, and the brief intensity of rugby league, You're just about getting there.
All other American sports such as basketball (netball really), ice hockey, and baseball (rounders) are just not worth a light.

My thoughts exactly untill I started going to watch junior play for his team
then my opinion changed ,I come away thinking wow didnt realise how fast the pace was during a game, endless action as much skill and tactics as any other sport and how its classed as a non contact sport is beyond me.

Sure if you ever go to watch a NBA game it may sway your opinion a wee bit.

Oh and one other thing - Harlem Globetrotters ! :D

Junior finished his season as top scorer in his team, scoring more points than the rest of his team put together,a feat that didn’t go unnoticed.Unknown to me, he has been watched the last few games,he impressed and has
been invited to trial this summer for the Newcastle Eagles under 18 team.

lets see if he can step up to the plate and make the team or will he fall by the way side with all the other all so rans . Only time will tell,I’ll keep you bunch of crazy odd balls updated…. :D

Both of my teams (Houston and New England) cratered early, so I'm at a loss of who to root for. I simply want a good close game ..... something like - whoever has the ball last wins.

One of the good things about the Super Bowl is the commercials. The advertisers spend a lot of money on these commercials and most are very funny...especially the beer commercials. Here's something you might enjoy....

He plays for South Tyneside under 18 Marty. The league he plays in,all games are played at the same venue on the north side of the river. He has been asked to play for the senior team next week and as far as I know their games are held at various venues throughout the north.
