To me, it is all a bit commercial.
It used to be around when I was young but now it seems as if the presents and celebrations have to be bigger each year.
We don't celebrate it, it's a bit like Halloween, just give it a miss.

What sides do you have with a meal of romantic? I've never eaten it before ...... when I say "it" ...I mean romantic.

My opinion ...... Valentines Day was/is for school yard crushes.

As if they aren't high enough maintenance as it is

We always have a valentines meal in the house and give cards and little token gifts. I refuse to go out for a meal on Valentines Day on the basis the prices are hiked up to a stupid price.

I also think that if you need it to be Valentines Day just to show your other half how much you love them, get little gifts, etc then there is something missing in the relationship.

i think that its a good reminder...

you dont have to go out and spend a fortune from people trying to rip the day off...

if you have some nice flowers in the garden then its not hard to take the time to sneak out and cut a few off and put them into a glass...

not saying that thats what i did.. :-"

Exactly Blue, I don't see why there has to be a set day when you go out and spend a fortune.

To be honest, tomorrow would not be different to any other day. We have breakfast in bed every morning, my evening meal is always cooked for me and I get spoilt all the time - only difference is I will be getting a card.

Every day is valentines day for me - but I am not spoilt, just loved!!!
