Freon, it's a myth, we drink our beer cold around here, if it was served warm there
would be a riot.

Phil arrived wearing a large bush hat and he never took it off, after looking
at his photo I now know why, he's another baldy. :D

I've not long returned home from Shields, and I would just like to say, thanks to all those who were able to attend the two meetings, it was good to meet you all. I would particularly like to thank Pete, for the loan of an interesting book about South Shields, and Mr Smith, who kindly gave me a lift home from one of the meetings.

I'm also pleased to see that Andy holds us all in such 'high regard' , and by way of thanks to him, I will later be posting a picture that has both the groyne and a seagull in it, as I know that's the kind of picture that warms the cockles of his heart. :D Mine too!!!

Wouldn't it be great! We should try to organise a little aussie contingent -give us a year or so to save.
Wouldn't they all get a surprise if a few of us waltzed in unexpectedly. :D

The thing is, we would know quite a few of them by sight but they may not recognise all of us. They might guess we weren't locals once we started speaking though.
