Global! Did you know?

Post by Jake »

Did you know that if Spain beat Holland in the final of the World Cup on Sunday,

New Zealand would be the only unbeaten team in the whole competition, some feat.

Pilot will not know that, I have forgotten more about football than he will ever know.

ROTFLMAO - Sure thing Jake, and they never won a game either, that's why they're gone, toast, adios bubba, don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out. Never made it out of the first round. This is what happens when you have a sport that allows draws - simply pathetic.

I would guess that you do know more about soccer than anyone else, given the sissy sport that it is. Anytime the ball comes within 5 feet of a player he drops to the ground and fends injury.

Do you know the difference between Rugby and Soccer? It takes two balls to play Rugby. Grow a pair...

No use putting that up by itself without putting up the AFL and the NRL greatest hits for accurate comparisons.
After watching the Star Wars introduction I thought it was. Pretty tame as I saw no blood or a need for a stretcher.
And where was William Perry when you needed him.

It's true, but it wasn't that many moons ago. In 2007 the USA Eagles played England in the 4th round of the Rugby World Cup. England was the defending world champion and defeated the Eagles 28-10.

This year the USA is ranked 15th in the world......not too bad for a country that has adopted a new sport.

There was an International match between England rugby players and USA NFL players.

The rules were that when they played the rugby match NFL players wore the same kit
as the England rugby players. When they played American football, the English rugby
players had to wear the same body armour as the NFL players.

The English won when they played rugby and the Americans won when they played
American football but the scores were much closer in the American football match
than they were in the rugby match.
Wise man talk because they have something to say,
fools talk because they have to say something.
