Thank you all for the good wishes, I have been very busy lately and not able to spend time on the boards,
but I will be back to "normal" soon. I have a lot of stories to tell about where I have been and what I have been doing. :D

That is just beautiful. Were you on a walking tour? Would love to hear about that area.

jake will correct me if i`m wrong here[in his usual polite manner :D ],but i think it`s over looking derwent water from a point called-walla crag/stable hill`s.
on the otherside of the lake just to the left of what i think is lord or herbert island you can see derwent bay which leads onto skelgil bank and then upto catbells.

but saying all that it`s been year`s since i walked northern lake`s so i may be completely wrong :D

Thanks for the info. It is a beautiful looking area.
Interesting that part of it is called Walla crag. Walla was part of my mother's maiden name. :D

Sherri, Bamboo is spot on (makes a change),
It is of Walla Crag looking over Derwent Water and near Keswick,
I spend a lot of time in that area staying at Castlerigg Hall and Castlerigg Farm campsites,
I even spent a couple of nights in these camping pods, quite comfortable.

I see you need a heater in those imitation nissan huts even in summer going by your photo.
Great photos of a lovely area. =D> =D> =D> =D>

The picture of the lake reminds me of Otago Harbour In Dunedin New Zealand when we stayed overnight at Larnach Castle....truly stunning views. Those camping pods are a great idea, I'm impressed 8) Well, hope you had a pleasant birthday Jake 8)

Those camping pods look like a fantastic idea.
It takes the work out of having a tent.
Are they just a shell with a window and heater or is there more in there eg beds etc.
