weddings

Post by gtirbri » Sun Aug 09, 2009 6:07 pm

I went to a lesbian wedding yesterday to take some photo's. I would just like to know what peoples views are on this. I thought it was quite funny when I got there and the first couple came out, 2 brides both in wedding dresses.

Cheers

Personally i think each to there own as long as they are happy. It would be a strange world if we were all the same. The only thing i do not think is right is when they have kids is it right for them to have kids.

I totally agree, I like to think of myself as a modern man. I disagree with the children bit like, the couple who got married yesterday already have 3 children as 1 of them obviously had a previous relationship with a man. IMO the children in a gay relationship would grow up no different to children in a hetrosexual one.

cheers

I agree there, as long as they are in a loving family, what i was thinking is the grief they get when they go to school this is where the problems start and not for the adults it is on the kids.

Unlike a lot of bigots I don't have a problem with it.

To good friends of mine tied the knot a few months back and both girls are very happy and thats what is's all about.

i do not involve the children here.

Women marries Woman
Man marries Man

You asked for views.... It's sick and should be banned. i have not posted in this thread with that answer without thought first.

Thats all i'm prepared to say on the matter as well :)

Every one is entitled to there own opinion, as i said earlier it would be a strange world if we all had the same thoughts about any subject.

I agree with Anna on that one.

I was brought up by my grandparens and can honestly say it was the best thing for me - I dont think I would be where I am today if I stayed with my mother

I agree with Alice, the kids will get grief when they go to schooll we all know how cruel some kids can be. I have nothing against homo sexual couples, but in my personal opinion I think that gays getting married demeans the whole idea of marriage.I belong to the old school and am still old fashioned in my thinking that marriage should only be between a man and women. My daughter works in a care home where a high percentage of staff, male and female are gay, most of these that I have got to know over the last few years I class as personal friends. One of the men Robbie got married last year in a civil partnership, I was invited but I made an excuse that I could not go as I did not want to risk opening my mouth and imposing my thoughts on them and cause any upset on their happy day.
I classed an old poster from the boards Jim in France as a personal friend, as most of you know he was in a partnership with a lovely gentle man, you could not have met a nicer couple male or female than Jim and Peter, however Peter was killed in that tragic accident involving Jim and Jim disappeared from the boards. I and others tried to get in touch with him, we spoke briefly before he disappeared and he has not been heard of since.

From what I've been told, the lads who used to manage The New Ship near the Ridgeway, a couple of years ago, got hitched.

I really don't know about their homelife, but they certainly did a good job at the pub and ran it very well.

Do you then think its perfectly normal for a Man-male to have sexual intercourse with another man-male? Or a Female to have sexual intercourse with another Female?
As humans I can love them as I love everyone else, but I cannot and will not condone their unnatural lifestyle.
How was a totally inorganic world able to create organic life? Answer it couldn't and didn't
