Wind farm turbines

Post by gnads »

Quite often watch a TV Detective series Vera... that's shot in and around Shields and NC on Tyne.

In a 2015 episode I'm watching tonight one shot that panned across the north groyne toward the south I could see all these wind turbines in the ocean not far offshore.

Is this correct?

I looked up Sth Shields wind farm only to find a current article about Shields becoming the biggest global wind farm with a proposed project.

Won't it be great to stand on the headlands of the area looking at a seascape covered in acres and acres of steel towers with huge windmills atop everywhere?

What an attraction ..... not.

Maybe they will be an attractant for lobster for Mr. angry... outside that I'd suggest they'll be a big detraction.
Nappies & Politicians should be changed often. Both for the same reason.
I don't have an attitude I have a personality you can't handle.

Have never seen that show, gnads.
But I am with you on wind farms, those wind turbines are not things of beauty and I think ultimately won't be a viable power source.

I think that they shoot scenes at different places all along that Durham/Northumberland coast and I wonder if the one referred to is the one at Redcar/Hartlepool?

Ive never heard about any plans for wind turbines on our coast ? It would totally spoil the beautiful views we have.
