I read all the nancy whimps on here cannot take a bit of cold/hot weather.

If your looking for employment don't call me I will call you.

The firm mostly employ ex servicemen as they are used to all weather extremes.

Moaners and whingers are no good for the firms reputation.

The firm deliver all over the UK.

London trips are no more and no less a trip than to anywhere else.

I guess, well know really that the only hard slog is the hour's put in driving a rig.

It come's with the territory and must be a condition upon to work with.

No 8 till 5 day's in the trucking world.

Has the sun gone to your head lad.

I get all suspicious when your trying to act normal.

Fall off your perch and put the knotted hanker chief back on your bonce.

( Here comes summer )

Not in Blackpool it wasn't.

Spent most of time in t'pub.

A drag act was performing, bloody hilarious so it was.

Made bee line to a café type place for a food intake.

Holly cow what a pigs ear dive. Never ate there.

Consumed steak & egg in another restaurant.

Not bad. £18.00 + a Pint of one's choice.

No need for that treatment.

Mind, a few places do pension day meals.

To the best of my knowledge they are smaller portions and no drink attached.

Talking of summer.

Watched a programme last night called Mighty Trains.

The Ghan in Australia that runs from Melbourne to Darwin. Crappy looking train by the way.

It take 3 days what with stop over in various places.

Now, why would folk travel all that way for a holiday just to see nothing but rocks and desert.

Mind, they did get up early to watch the sun rise, nowt as weird as folk.

Must be a boring journey watching desert go past with the odd Kangaroo hopping about.

Must admit the meals on the train looked nice.

We went on it back in the 1990s, whip. I loved it but the kids felt we were travelling povo. :D
In actual fact we were very lucky. My husband worked as an engineer in the railways so we got the trip free, only had to pay $30 per person if we wanted a sleeper. Which we did!
We only went from Adelaide to Alice Springs so it was only a day's trip but I enjoyed watching the scenery change. The rooms were tiny- a marvel of design. There were 2 seats that faced each other. A small table could pull out between them and at night they folded down and two bunk beds appeared. Very comfortable they were, too.
At the end of the passage was a room that was a tea room-collect your own tea, coffee, biscuits whenever you liked.

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip on it-much more than I enjoy flying to be honest.

Pilot. It's nice that you have the good weather this time instead of us down in the South.

Today Wednesday it's hovered between 11c and 13 c it feels cold because there is a wind and it's raining on and off. Pretty miserable. No t shirts for us.
