Sherri, It coming up for Halloween so Nutter Goths are in their element. It only time of year when they can walk around without anyone staring at them. They actually get quite depressed.
Bestest Regards

Yes, I can imagine it, annie. I have an American friend-lovely woman etc, but each year, she has this 10 foot xmas tree. If I tried putting that in my home, it would make a hole in the ceiling. Then she has spentwhat must be the equivalent of a small country's total income on lighting for the outside of her house.
Some people here are starting to get a bit like that, but it is in pockets, not everyone does it.
I can recall when I was young, there was really only one stretch in Melbourne where it was done. In a place called the boulevard, where there are a lot of very wealthy homes. The large gardens would be all decked out and in the weeks before xmas, it became a bit of a tourist thing. Go there, park somewhere nearby and walk the street. It still is. I took my daughter when she was young. A lot of the kids are in just pyjamas as it is warm etc, so quite festive.
I don't think it is the same when people are just driving by.
Glad I dont have to pay the power bills for some of them. I believe it can come to an extra $1,000.
