Hi
I lived at 240 Mowbary Road on the corner with Kingsway just under the train tunnel. I went to Mowbary Road School from about 1960 to 64. I remember the Headmaster was Mr. Elliot I think. I also remember getting nits from a classmate and having to get my long hair cut short. I have a school pic somewhere, I'll dig it out and post it.

Thank you so much for the pictures, it was awsome to see my old house where I grew up. and sad to see the old school pulled down. I really appreciate you taking the time and effort in taking the pics and posting them. It made my day, especially after a not so good day at work.
Your name does not do you justice, it should be Mr. made Cushy happy.

mr nice guy ( formerly mr angry )

Post by geordie13 »

I have posted a few messages on here , and it was good to see now a few replies starting to appear . That was good of the former mr angry to take a picture for that bloke . I cannot remember him cos i would have passed his house every day , as i lived top of kingsway no 47 . I did not though no that the school had been knocked down . I keep saying i will post the picture i have , that does have mr elliot on and a mate called john turnbull , who was in my class . I wander if mr nice guy will take a pic for me , as i live 130 miles away .
