Mortimer Photo 1950 UPDATED!

UPDATED

Thanks to Jean Pilkington I've now updated all of the names. I have been contacted by four of the girls in the photo, so far, hopefully I will hear from or get information about some of the others.

I've heard from ten of the girls in the photo. Unfortunately one of the girls in the photo died at a very young age, in a
plane crash. I've had it on good authority that at least four of the lads have passed away.

My Granda is Ronnie Wyatt on the front row on the right :) He passed away in 2000 unfortunately. My mam was chuffed to see this pic, thanks

I never ever saw him use the stick. I would assume that was because we kids
in those days were better behaved and showed respect to our elders. Tho only
teachers I ever saw use the stick were, Tommy Gedling and Geordie Wyatt.

i would say mr dodds,mr turnbull and mr mizen were the hardest stickers in mortimer when i was there
mr charlton and mr thomas were the softest(tap tap tap)
i wish i had a £1 for every time i had the stick
id be minted
