another sodding nuisance
Yesterday, a restful Sunday morning, and I'm having breakfast by the window.
Suddenly, BRRRRMMMM!!! this high pitched whining sound from outside. I investigate, and there's this bunch of kids with a radio controlled model car which is designed to sound like a snarling F1 racer. Goodbye restful Sunday.
They cant just have an ordinary model car which makes the minimum noise, can they? No, they've got to have something which makes a row. So now we haven't just got those w****r wagons which drive around with stereo blaring, we've got mini pest cars as well.
Whatever happened to the traditional English peace and quiet?

I dont object to kids playing, and making a noise. I just want them to do it sensibly. Why cant they be like the other kids, and have one of those ordinary model cars which make a small amount of noise? What's wrong with that?
And what about people's rights not to have their environment spoiled by bloody noise pollution?

Agreeing with len to the point, petrol powered remote control cars are not designed for the local street use, their rather damn fast and loud! having experienced it myself.. u have to speak up! and say take that kind of 'adult toy' elsewhere more appropriate. (along the lines with other remote control petrol devices). Or like some1 said, crush it! if they don't listen to some wise advice j/k

Just wanted to bring this one up for a quick note.
Yesterday a different bunch of kids (with their father) were playing with a radio controlled car outside my house. Only this time they didn't have a buzzing petrol model, they had a quiet battery model.
The result? The kids enjoyed playing with their car, the father enjoyed playing with his kids, and I enjoyed reading my newspaper in peace.
And all because of a little common sense!
It can be so easy sometimes, can't it?!
