Yeh thats right mr cat, you could never have a shot cos there was always someone on it. I remember some lad getting a good beating off the bouncers after they caught him urinating behind the machine, then seen him staggering up fowler street a while later with a face like a donatellos marguerita :!:

I spent many a Thursday night (half-price drinks for ladies) in the Chelsea Cat and in Ruperts. If we wanted a really "posh" night out, however, we'd go to Tuxedo Junction in Newcastle.

It's beautiful here today, Mr. A.
Sunny skies, gentle breeze and temperature of about 24°C. :P
Shame I had to work today - otherwise I would have gone to the beach! Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

I was looking for a photo of Ruperts and came upon this chat, Monday and Thursday nights were best, we were made of stern stuff in them days, 10p a drink, dancing round our clutch bags to Julia the only female D.J. I've ever seen, we had the tightest jeans, biggest perms and highest stilletos in Shields. Remember spending all my wages on a top from Monique which didn't matter much cos lads bought you drinks in them days and paid for the privelege of meeting you at the bus stop at the town hall on a Friday. Welders with Capri's, 501 bus, Ingham Infirmary, "oh how I long for yesterday and you".........
