Whats the dif between newcastle and middlesbro accent???

Post by Sir Alex » Thu Oct 20, 2005 1:17 pm

I was there the other week in middlesbro. and they sound like Geordies. Which is mad coz newcastle is miles away. Is there a diff with sunderland and newcastle accent? Down here, Liverpool is only 30 mile from manc. but we sound totally different. thank god! :D 8)

Well we up here can tell the difference. I suppose the accent where you live and of Liverpool would both sound the same to us foreigners.

  8)

Australia has a language? Whatever next? Culture? 8)

its the same anywhere. I can spot a Washington accent from a proper Geordie and an Ashington accent is different again. "I gut a trenzit ven end a duug"

but to any poor benighted people not from the NE, we all sound the same.

People from Gloucester, Sailsbury and Bristol sound like they are Welsh?

I suspected as much.
