Conker/Chestnut Tree Locations?

Post by dantastic » Tue Oct 14, 2014 1:58 pm

Hi, my kids have been pestering me to take them to get some conkers from the park. Problem is, my local (Readhead Park South Shields) has been raided and I heard the Council cut a few conker trees down a while back. [-X

So, does anyone have a spot I can hit to grab a few to keep them happy? [-o<

Tried a few locations in Shields with little joy. Willing to go anywhere in Tyne and Wear for a good haul.

Any help appreciated in advance!

Cheers.

Haha, cheers! Been a few years myself.

I tried Sunderland Rd and King George Rd but they are all completely bare now.

Forgot about Hepscot Tce, I grew up on Blagdon Av so I should have known that one!

Cheers, bud. I shall try it tonight.

Also, there is a park right in the middle of Cleadon Village, on the south side of Front Street, or of Laburnum. I used to collect conkers there.
