I have just started a project for my MA in Photography and would appreciate any help people can give me.
I am starting a photo documentary about Marsden but in particular about Farding Square as I used to live there as a child. I would like to know if there are any people from the flats willing to let me visit their home and take photos.
This is a kind of journey down memory lane for me as well as a serious piece of research so I if anyone has old or new photos of Marsden, of the beach, the Grotto, Cleadon Hills, Redwell School and Farding Square or family snaps of people in Farding Square past and present I would love to see them.

I remember the roof blowing off one of the blocks of flats, it must have been the winter of 1959/60

I remember that too, my brother lives in one of the flats in Farding Square; I'll have a word
with him about it.

I moved in about 1967 so missed all that fun. Thanks for replying and it'd be great if your brother could talk to me.

The name Farding and Farting spring to mind especially when you start talking about the roof blowing off.
Did they change the name to Farding just after this accident ?
