Rover.

Shame about Rover closing down and the huge losses it has.
Around £470 million unaccounted for, no the wonder nobody wanted to take over the plant. I always assumed there was a rulling body that looks into this sort of corruption, well all I can say is they are blind or had a bloo'dy good pay-off.>>>>>> 8)

Jakey, if you have a rover you got a decent car; If I were you I would garage it and in a few years time it will be worth a fortune. [if in decent nick now] but knowing how you drive, it surely remains to be seen.>>> 8)

Rover issued a statement yesterday saying that all warranties will be honoured. Whether they are actually able to do so is another matter.

I have a toyota corolla, 1984 model, still going strong, allan :booty:
(haha couldn't resist that emoticon)
Mind you, many (many, many) years ago when I was young, I had a boyfriend who had a very old Rover. Lovely car it was. All leather seats, beautifully finished interior. It had to have seat belts specially installed though, which tells you how ancient it was!
If I have to get rid of my corolla I would be willing to make the sacrifice and take on a rover.

I reckon it all depends who has what sort of car M' and how well it is looked after, I know of a rep, well he was a few year ago, all he would drive was his rover; lord did he clock up some miles, mind he had it serviced every year, but did not have an apeth of bother with it. Never could afford one myself, not new anyway.>>>>> 8)

I remember the old "aunty" Rovers & 90s I think they were Sherri. Lovely cars.

Your right Memor. People look to VFM when buying cars. Not patriotism.

The French are very patriotic (Its not a crime here). They almost all buy French. Having said that, so do I! Iv'e yet to find a better car, after recently going through all marques.

I had a Land Rover Discovery in the UK. It was a nice enough car, but the interior trim had a habit of falling off!

I wonder if the guy who invented the name "Rover" did it as a joke?.....
As theyr'e all....DOGS!

I know what you mean about the trim Jim.
A friend of mine used to be sales director for Rovers car leasing company.
He took delivery of his new top of the range, all singing all dancing Rover Sterling-------------5 miles down the road the dashboard fell into his lap.

I decided to take advice from alan,i went out and bought 2 brand new rovers and i am going to keep them in my garage for a few years and make a hefty profit,

The salesman told me that these 2 cars were the last off the production line and would be worth a lot of money in the future so he had to add £5,000 to the list price of both cars,so i think i have got myself a good bargain,
Thanks for the tip alan.
