I know Mrs Cole comes from Heaton , but I heard that her mother Joan was connected with South Shields , Laygate area .It might be just a rumour , but I have just seen a picture of her and she looks the spitting image of an old friend of my wife . does anybody know if she or her mam ( granma ) or dad (grandad) did come from shields ?
