Accomodation in South Shields
Hello Guys and Girls,
I'll be moving to South Shields in a few weeks time and would like to know which area is nice and close to the beach and the nightlife. Also hopefully close to the centre as I will be managing a mobile phone shop. I have not visited your town since the late 90's for a hens night and I can still remember my hangover ! Really bad. Also which is the best board here for a bit of a chat and do you have live chat ? Sorry for all the questions.Take Care. V.

Hmmmmm....... where's Baldy when you need him
Hi Veronica, welcome to the boards, around the Lawe Top is
a nice area and quite close to the town centre, just ask any
local estate agent and they'll know

There's a good web site called "up my street" you just put in a post code and it tells you about the area be careful to put a full code in as the areas differ quite a bit in some cases street by street. Welcome to the boards by the way

Re: Accomodation in South Shields
Thanks John and Pilot,
Is Baldy a letting agent ? I'm after a place with two bedrooms so my sister can come up for a few weekends and hopefully some place that will allow my cat. What's the good bars for nightlife 35 to 40 years ?
And what does Sandancer mean ? Is this site a dance club ? I looked for the local paper on the web but this site looked to be more popular. Can you sign into any board ? It looks as if Coolies Corner Shops is the most popular. Cheers. V.
PS What's the Lawes Top postcode. Thanx. V.

Thanx Jimmywizz,
It can't be as bad as Gillingham though we are close to the big smoke. Cool name Party Girl. Cheers V.

Baldy is our board "Sleuth" and I was being (perhaps wrongly) a wee bit cynical.veronica rodgers wrote:Thanks John and Pilot,

Sanddancer is a person born and bred in South Shields, however, there is a pub on the
seafront called The Sanddancer, apparently good for meals and local musicians play there.
As for nightlife, Glitterball on Ocean Road is probably the best bet, they play music mainly
from the 80's (my era ) but as you will find, Jimmy is quite right, due to the recession
amongst other things, the nightlife and such has gone downhill recently.
Once again, welcome to the boards

Hi Veronica and welcome to the boards.
Although it's quite some time since I lived in Sheels, my previous address beside the town hall was perfect for the local night life and sea front areas.
And amazingly, (if your avatar is a self portrait), then I might have to hurry back and offer a good home to a needy p*ssy..........
and it's lithe and lonesome owner,,,,,,,,,cough, splutter,,,,,,
errrr, sorry got to go now, here's the missus coming in.

Re: Accomodation in South Shields
Give Cushy a pm, she stayed at one in Oceon Road and I think her and Paul found it ok. If you and your sister are interested we could arrange a board meeting when you are up.Fenella wrote:im looking for digs in shields in june when i come up to visit ill probably get a b and b in ocean or beach road are there guest houses to avoid at all i dont want to book into a one where the council shoves the local bums
