Pilot, how about a fella called Stanley Duncan ?

I'm guessing, but he probably retired in the late seventies or early eighties.

I Knew Stan Duncan well for 39 years till his death on 8th July 2003 aged 78 years its a sad fact that out of the over 100 licenced Tyne pilots I have known personally only 19 including me are still alive.

My goodness, you've got a good memory. I reckon you keep a log of ships and personnel (which in fact is what I used to do).
