I love that show when I watch it, memor. It always has some interesting things on it.I have not seen that episode though.
What has amazed me is that you have seen part of an aussie show. How did you come across it?

The inventions sound as if they will be the wave of the immediate future.
You know-it looked (and I could be wrong here) but it looked as if in France, there was a big corporation behind the work but in Melbourne, one man working away for 30 years. Yet I would not be surprised if his rotary idea might not eventually be the way those compressors go. perhaps the two companies should combine and compare notes and share ideas.

This could be fascinating. because although there would be a market for petrol, as people changed over cars, that market would fall dramatically and that will give some countries a shake up in the economy.
I think as petrol prices rise and rise, more and more people would consider an air car.

They'll change in design as time goes on I suppose but I am looking forward to seeing their release and what effect it has on the markets.

Very interesting concept. Doubt the USA will ever adopt it though - too many big-wigs in the oil industry would lose money.

I think the benefits outweigh any hush money the oil companies will advance.

It is one of the most interesting videos i have seen, memor.
There was another one I noticed in that category and it was a BBC report from earlier this year.
I emailed our state newspaper and asked them why they didn't do an article on it, given petrol prices and hybrid cars are such hot topics, but they haven't followed through, which i find curious.

And one of the comments has a ring of truth in it.
The US company that is trying to get this off the ground is Zero Pollution Motors. I talked to them and they indicated that the powers that be will be fighting them all the way.

hi sherry im trying to post something on the lost friends furum you know like how folk have stated they are wanting to locate a person ive been round this site many times and not a clue of how to do one myself. see im wanting to put one up for to see if anyone may know the where abouts of my sons biological father. i came to south shields on sat n sadly the last known address i have ofr him is now void on the grounds he dont live there anymore. how ever the person whom lives next door was helpfull as much as she could be so i wanted to post one in that section for to see if id get any replys from folk that knew him or know of how id contact him please help me as im not comp lit thanks

If you don't have any success on this forum, have you thought of looking up electoral rolls? They are freely available and will have all names and addresses. You may have to look up a few in different locations but start in the last known area and work out from there.

I sent the firm that make this car an e amil and got a standard format reply.

I asked them why weren't they actively marketing this air car.

Why were they bothering trying to sell eveyone elctroc scooters (which they are)

There is a picture of the management team on the website. They all looked incredibly well healed.

As I said it was a standard reply e mail.

It got me wondering whether they've been got at. Either some government or oil company is paying them well to sit on the air car.

When you think of the billions being made by Oil producers/companies and the tax derived to Governments it makes sense not to let this particular cat out of the bag.

There is something mighty funny going on, memor.
Apparently that aussie show was from 2005.

What i think needs to happen is the air motor needs to come in, for small things-those factory trolleys and forklifts-things like that. Just quietly seep into the marketplace.
Then perhaps some small boats.

Eventually someone is going to ask-hey, how come these motors can't be in cars??

At guess, i would say someone or something is stomping on this very heavily. They will cause all sorts of things to be thrown up to impede them-weight, changes in safety regulations, you name it.
This sort of motor is a threat to the world order as we know it.

If I were in charge of a very poor country though, somewhere where private ownership of cars is really just getting underway as the norm-somewhere such as India, China, I would be grabbing it.

Memor, what I found odd was the company stated it had trouble getting sponsorship.

Now, we weren't looking at an idea, a gleam in someone's eye.
We were looking at something that is almost ready for production and has been shown to work.

Petrol prices have (supposedly) been causing pain everywhere.
People are (supposedly) concerned about the environment.
The govt is (supposedly) trying to cut back on emissions.

It should be a company's dream market right now.

But not a word.

It is odd. I would like to know exactly what is going on but we have buckley's hope of finding out, I suspect.
