That creased me
They're all over the place Jimmy, 2 weeks ago I took wife and kids to the Lakes, when we got back we were inundated with flying ants, they were in every room. It was that bad in some parts they looked more like mould because they were clumped together, all you can do is hoover them up and spray the whole house but you have to keep on top of them for a couple of days as we found out, I looked them up and found this from 2004 if anyone wants to have a look (don't worry Global, it should load quickly for you as well).

Sounds nasty, Jimmy. You can keep them. Maybe all that
rain kept them at bay til now.
The closest we come to that is Junebugs. Luckily, they don't
last long. In the woods, the entire ground can be covered with
the dead ones so you can't take a step without hearing them
crackling underfoot.

Eughhhhhhhh....This posts made me all itchy! At the daycare centre where I work part time we were working in the garden, and I was turning of the compost heaps to get the good compost at the bottom..And found a flying ants nest..They were everywhere. I didn't get bitten but had to go have a cold shower afterwards cos I was itchy with the thought of them
Betty - i just looked up Junebugs on images in Google, they look horrible!
